I got this program signed by twenty-some players last year at the AHL All Star Game. I know Luke Adam, Alex Giroux, Mark Wotton, Viatcheslav Voynov, Jerome Samson, are all on here, but I cant figure the rest. Can you, or do you know anyone who can?

This is a 2007 Topps CoSigners Dual Autograph of Matt Kemp and Chris Iannetta.

Why do I like it?

I have always liked Kemp, so to get this auto out of a pack was fantastic. Also helps that Iannetta isn't a scrub, either.


Where did I get it?

I got this card out of a hobby pack that I got from Dave and Adams a couple months ago.

Is it available?

For today's Random Thing I have, I have an authentic DJ King autographed puck. DJ has spent time in the Washington Capitals organization, and was up with Washington all last year. He started the year in Washington, but was recently sent down to the Hershey Bears.

Speaking of the Bears, Im going to the game tonight to see them hopefully destroy the Lake Erie Monsters. That's all for now!

An Interesting Edition to my collection

Hey there- Im in for a quick post. I picked this up for five bucks at the local antique shop. Think I got a pretty good deal as it's a piece of history, even if I'm not a Phillies fan.

For those that cant see, Its a ticket to the 1980 World Series Game 1, between Philadelphia and Kansas City. I think it's cool, what do you think?

Two packs, Two Relics

Hey guys- Was out at Target looking for some Black Friday deals and decided to pick up two 99 cent packs of 2009 Donruss Americana. I always thought the set looked cool and Im really in to Celebrity stuff so I thought it would be cool to try these out. Boy was I happy I did :) Pack one yielded a Movie Poster materials card of A costume worn by Vivien leigh in "A Streetcar Named Desire" numbered 58/500. Pretty epic. I was already freaking out about this because I LOVE Streetcar when i opened the second pack, which held a Proof Relic numbered 58(again) out of 100 of Tracy Lawrence. Pretty nice for 2 bucks.
These two cards are for trade, although the Leigh is HTG. Im up for trading for other cards in the set if you have any. I know some blogger (I don't recall who) has a wife that collects this stuff, if you know, let me know so I can shoot them an email.

Ive seen these elsewhere, I thought I would try one. Here are the rules.
Send me 15 cards. They must meet the following criteria:
1- Card with a BV of 12 or higher. GU or Auto.
2 through 8- GU or autos with a BV of 8 or higher
9 and 10- Numbered, inserts, or rookies with a BV of 5 or higher
11 through 15- Cards of any of the four sports with a BV of 8 or higher.
1 Through 10 must be baseball, 11 through 15 can be anything.

Question of the Day

I'm an OCDish guy. Everything has to be sorted and in it's place. My cards used to be sorted by this "System"
Player (All Sports, Alphabetical by Last Name)
However, I got bugged looking for baseball cards and having hockey mixed in. Then, I went sorting by sports. All the baseball in the same boxes, all the football in others, etc. This again, made me angry. What if I was trading and needed to find a certain player? I would have to go through 8 5000 count boxes to find 2 or 3 cards of some Erubiel Durazo-esque player. Then I went by sets. I found it fun to see all the same cards together, but I had the same problem before. What about the player collectors? So I finally came up with the following "system"
Sort by sport. (Say it 5 times fast :D )
When all sorted by sport, sort by team.
When sorted by sport and team, sort by player.
When sorted by sport, team, and player, sort by year.
When sorted by sport, team, player, and year, sort by set.
When sorted by sport, team, player, year, and set, go in numerical order.

I still have doubts on if my system works. So the question is...
How do you sort your cards?

Pence Collection Update

Hey guys- Im trying to post as much as possible, when the scanners available Ill feel more motivated. Just wanted to stop by and say I have accomplished a couple milestones in my Hunter Pence Collection.
- I have 149 cards in it
- I have 9 cards of a rainbow (Topps/ToppsChrome 2010)
- I have a 1/1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its a 2008 Topps M&M But I could care less. A 1/1 is a 1/1. And I traded a card /500 for it and /999. Thats it lol total BV 4 bucks. How great is Sports Card Forum? Anyway, thats all for now, and if, ya know, have Pence #150 for me and have traded with me before, ya know where to send it ;)

Wax busting here at the Bullpen

Hey there everyone. I can't scan today as I'm on a tight schedule, but today I ran by Target to look for some Heritage. No dice. However, the value pack box was on steriods. They had Ginter, Goodwin, Heritage, Bowman,etc. I grabbed 13 packs. I got a 2009 Topps Heritage Chrome of Felix Hernandez /1960. I also got a Blue Parallel of Alexi Ramirez /2011 out of the new Opening Day. The great stuff was in the pack of 2005 UD All Star Classics. In that pack, I got rookies of Jake Peavy and Tadhito Iguchi. I also got a hit, a GU of Frank Thomas. Nice hit from a future HOFer is always welcome. As I was on the way home, I saw my LCS. I hadn't been there in almost a month and I thought 'What the Heck' and grabbed a box of 2008 UD Masterpieces. This was my 3rd box of it. Out of here, I got within 5 cards of my Masterpieces set. My hits were... A green parallel /75 of Felix Hernandez. A GU of Cole Hamels. and my 6th auto of the set in Bill Hall. A current Astro is always nice. If you are a fan of King Felix , you should email me as those cards are for trade along with almost everything else.
Sorry for the lack of posting, I've been busy with school testing and stuff. I will be back to daily posting by Opening Day. That's all for now.

Hey guys. I recently fell in love with these nice little cards called Diamond Parallels. I have a grand total of....1. Ryan Kalish. 2011 Topps hasn't been good to me. (Except for the huge Berra relic /60 with over 1 in a thousand odds, but thats a post for the future. ) Anyway, I know there are tons of people collecting them, but I'll make it worth your while. Anyone Else play APBA card game?

I do. I have since I was little. No, Not the American Power Boat Association. APBA is a sports card game. I just play the baseball version, but they have all four major sports. To read more about it, go to APBAGAMES.COM

Mail Day! Clear Cut Cards Edition

Hey guys. I have been getting tons of packages in the mail, so if you have done a trade with me, I'll have a Mail Day post for you within a week.

Anyway, Jason over at Clear Cut Cards made a post a couple weeks back about his Mets team set needs for Chicle, so because I recently busted a box of that stuff, I had one of the cards he needed. So after so negotiations, I ended up sending a Jason Bay Chicle and 10 other 2010 Mets cards. In return, I got rookies of two no name Astros and, the one I wanted most.




This is a rookie of awesome fielder Edwin Maysonet. He made it up with the Astros last year to play some infield as a backup. I was extremely impressed with what I saw. Sadly, my least favorite team the Brewers picked him up in the offseason. I'm still excited to have a card of him from his days with the Astros. The first contest for my new blog!

Hey guys! I decided to hold a contest with the junk wax packs of football and hockey I have.



Among others.
Pick a team, one in football and one in hockey, that you think will yield the most cards. This contest will run until next friday at Midnight Eastern Time. Post on your blog about this contest and you can pick two teams in each sport. Two winners, one for each sport. They will have the choice between these two things.

-The cards I pulled in a set of your choice (Other than my PC cards, all the 1990-1991 Pro Set hockey, 1991-1992 Pro Set Hockey, and 1990 Pro Set football. Pick one of those) and 35 basketball , football, or hockey cards from 2005 to now.

- Or, pick one of the sets again, and get 35 cards of a baseball team of your choice.

Does anyone else keep getting offered this card?

I know Topps Million is great, but I get online to the site and have 10 offers all from different people featuring this card.

A 2001 Topps Ivan Rodriguez. Why does everyone have this card and insist on trying to trade it for 1960's vintage? It isn't going to happen. Does anyone know why everyone has this card? Tomorrow I'll post showing my Christmas loot, and it includes the best hit of my year!

Who I am

Hello Everyone! This is Cam, formerly the owner of Collectable Cards. I started this blog because of lack of viewers, and Yola, the site I used to blog, sucked. Here is a little about me.

Who I collect: I am a huge collector of Hunter Pence, Michael Bourn, JR Towles, Carlos Lee, and Nick Markakis, along with any Astros. I also have side collections of Joe Mauer, Evan Longoria, Derek Jeter, BJ Upton, and Ian Desmond. I also collect cards featuring players signing autographs in the photo, Celebrating, and players in odd places.

What I enjoy: I enjoy trading and meeting new people through blogging.

What I enjoy outside of sports: I love music. I play the guitar, and my favorite band is the Beatles. I also enjoy swimming, and playing video games.
